Updates from the Cancer Research Data Commons:
Empowering the Scientific Community to Make New Discoveries

CPTAC Scientific Symposium September 2025

Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium

The Clinical Proteomics Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) held its Virtual Scientific Symposium in late September 2025. Researchers from across the consortium shared updates on recent and forthcoming studies, highlighted publicly available data resources, and demonstrated new analytical tools. The CPTAC program is managed by the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR). CPTAC data are housed in the Proteomic Data Commons (PDC), one of CRDC’s data commons.

One session featured an overview of the PDC’s data portal, which has been enhanced to improve the user experience. The updated PDC portal now offers new features for querying, visualizing, analyzing, and downloading curated, harmonized proteomic datasets. It also supports multi-omics integration through interoperability with other CRDC resources— such as the Genomic Data Commons—and compatibility with the Seven Bridges Cancer Genomics Cloud (SB-CGC). The slides from that presentation are available
