Reference Publications

Overview

Over the past ten years, the NCI Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC) team has published core reference papers that show the wide reach, impact, and accessibility of CRDC data and tools for the cancer research community. These papers have been cited hundreds of times, demonstrating the impact of CRDC data and resources on published work.

These peer-reviewed articles describe the systems, data standards, cloud-based platforms, and specialized data commons that help researchers around the world find, access, combine, and study large sets of cancer data. This includes data from genomics, proteomics, medical imaging, and clinical research.

Together, these publications show that the CRDC provides a strong foundation for advancing cancer research. By offering open, connected, and scalable data resources, the CRDC supports teamwork, improves research reliability, and helps move precision cancer care forward.
