Empowering the Scientific Community to Make New Discoveries

Request for Input to the CCDI on Molecular Characterization Research Data

November 16, 2024

NCI’s Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) is seeking input through a short online survey about the pediatric cancer research community’s interest in molecular characterization data needed to optimally treat patients, as well as its existing cohort and/or sample availability for new data generation.

Developing research data is one of the foundational goals of the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI), which aims to accelerate scientific discovery and improve patient care by enhancing data sharing through the CCDI Data Ecosystem.

Survey input will help generate multi-dimensional omics research data on pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer samples, addressing unmet scientific and clinical needs aligned with the CCDI research priorities.

Please direct inquiries to Dr. Emily Boja at (240) 276-6384.

Dr. Boja recently presented, outlining work thus far on molecular characterization research data and CCDI’s engagement with the pediatric cancer research community. Her presentation is included in a CCDI monthly webinar/update held in mid-September. Her portion can be found at about the 38:00 mark.
